Something I’m still tweaking here and there. Fanny Campbell was a woman that disguised herself as a man, signed herself on as a sailor, staged a mutiny and became captain of a ship, then sailed down to Cuba to bust her man out of prison. After the prison break, she and her future husband become privateers (i.e. government sanctioned pirates) on the side of the Americans during the revolutionary war. You can get the longer version of her story here.

This artistic rendition of Fanny Campbell is hip and fresh, bringing her “I’m from Lynn, Massachusetts” aura to the modern era, awesome job! Lynn, Lynn, City of Sin…you never come out the way you went in! I guess that was true of Fanny as well…kick some butt girl!
