Amanda Spaid
Howdy! I’m a recent graduate with a BFA in Illustration. I was born and raised in Maryland and attended the School of Art and Design at Montgomery College before heading “Out West” to the wild, flat yonder of Ohio to attend the Columbus College of Art and Design.
Since graduating CCAD, I’ve moved back to the Washington D.C. Metro area. When I’m not drawing, painting or otherwise trying to make something–which is pretty rare, these days–I read, write, obsessively check BBC News, tinker with my computer, and do research (i.e. lose all restraint and play video games or watch movies for far longer than I should). Sometimes I even get out of the house and pop down to one of the locals bars to meet up with friends, or cruise around town in my antique land-boat, looking for inspiration–or at least something interesting.
